How the country guides are built

Each guide combines the destination's climate zones with the sowing windows reported by importers and by Kohenoor's field agronomists on customer visits, the import documents recorded by the export desk (summarised in the phytosanitary table) and the transit time from Karachi used for planning. Where a country has several climate zones, the guide gives a window for each. Sowing dates are typical and should be adjusted to local soil temperature and rainfall.

Frequently asked questions

Which countries are covered?

Fifty-six countries across the Gulf, Middle East, Africa, Central, South, East and South-East Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania, corresponding to the destinations that regularly import seed from Pakistan.

Are the guides available in local languages?

Country guides are published in English and in the main language of the destination where the site has a translation; the language links appear on each country page.

How accurate are the sowing dates?

They are typical windows for the main producing zones of each country and are reviewed with importers each season. Soil temperature at 5 cm and the start of reliable rainfall or irrigation should decide the actual date.

Where do I get a quote for a country?

Each country guide links to the specialist product site for the crops it covers. This site is a reference and does not take orders directly.
